We have no time but this present time: Quakers in Britain have just finished their Yearly Meeting Gathering. At the end of every Yearly Meeting an epistle is produced, which expresses the essence of the matters which Friends have considered during the gathering: https://www.quaker.org.uk/documents/ymg-epistle-2021 This year these included racism, gender issues and the climate emergency.

How do we maintain our Integrity in a world where ‘alternative facts’ and ‘fake news’ appear to be driving the decision-making of those in power? How can we face up to the consequences of human injustice and environmental destruction without losing hope?'

Historical links between Wales and the USA: Quakers from various parts of the UK, including Wales, travelled to the United States many years ago to escape persecution. One of the states was founded by William Penn as a Quaker state. While it is no longer purely Quaker, there are still a good number there. Here is the epistle of Young Quakers in Pennsylvania issued at the end of their yearly gathering, expressing concerns about justice for marginalised people and climate justice.
